Professional Foster Parent
When a child is removed from their home due to abuse and neglect, they immediately need a safe and loving place to stay. Through a partnership with Placer County, Koinonia is providing emergency shelter foster homes to lower the traumatic impact during this time of transition. You can make a difference by becoming a professional foster parent and offering short-term emergency care to children in crisis.
You will receive:
- Specialized training and support during certification period and ongoing
- Monthly reserve/stipend
- Mileage reimbursement to schools out of district
- Weekly in-home support
- 24-hour crisis support
- Paid Vacation Time
- Respite Care

- Live Scan Reimbursement
